- Tips on how your business can become more adaptive
This half-day tutorial will examine and demystify the subject of Adaptive IT and explain the key component parts of an adaptive enterprise.
This workshop will address:
- The main architectural elements of an adaptive enterprise:
- Virtualisation of infrastructure resources: this section will cover all aspects of virtualisation from server-level to grid computing and will touch on the various strategies for creating a utility computing capability.
- Service Oriented Architectures: this section will cover decomposing the application layer silos using service oriented architectures and web services
- The management and control function: this section will cover the need to evolve from resource management through service management to business process management and will talk about the tools and service management models needed to effect those changes
- Bridging the gap between business, management and technology: becoming adaptive requires more than just the application of technology. This section will describe a transformational process that also needs to address people, process, governance and architecture. It also introduces the concept of a transformational roadmap and the importance of assessment and architecture in developing that roadmap.
There will be a short break for tea/coffee during the afternoon.
