2018 Rick Chandler

Rick is an EEMA Board member who previously chaired the EEMA Internet and Wireless workgroups. With 35 years secure digital wireless experience and executive positions in both the private and public sectors he has led design and build teams for two European mobile operators. He has been a champion of safe mobile working since he gave the keynote at the first UK conference on the subject in1984. He has also been active in the ID world since his involvement on the steering group for the UK ID card .This is currently driving his work in mobile authentication and privacy. Passionate about new technology, he enjoys separating hype from reality and delivering practical solutions.
2017 Jos Dumortier
Jos Dumortier (1950) is an Honorary Professor of ICT Law at the University of Leuven (www.kuleuven.be). He has been the founder and first Director of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for ICT and Law (ICRI) (www.icri.be) and Research Leader in the iMinds research institute (www.iminds.be). With his research team he participated in more than 75 European and national ICT-related R & D projects in particular in the areas of privacy and identity management, information security, e-health, e-government and e-business. Prof. Dumortier is currently a member of the Bar of Brussels and partner in “time.lex”, a law firm specialized in information technology law (www.timelex.eu). Since the start of the law firm in 2007 the team has carried out over 50 studies for the European Commission on various issues related to legal issues concerning the information society and is currently involved in 6 Horizon 2020 Actions in the field of eGovernment, identity management, big data analytics, Smart Cities and eHealth.
Jos Dumortier participates in the boards of several national and international scientific and business associations and is a member of various editorial and program committees. He is the editor of the International Encyclopedia of Cyber Law and the author of more than one hundred books and articles on legal issues related to the information society.

Described at the Oxford Internet Institute as “one of Britain’s most acute observers of the internet and social networks”, in The Telegraph as “one of the world’s leading experts on digital money”, in The Independent as a "grade-A geek" and by the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation as "one of the most user-friendly of the UK's uber-techies", Dave is well-known for his thought leadership blogging, podcasts and events for Consult Hyperion’s Tomorrow’s Transactions series.
He wrote a Guardian column for many years. He is a media commentator on electronic business issues and has appeared on BBC television and radio, Sky and other channels around the world. Retail Systems magazine said that his recent book “Identity is the New Money” is bold, forward thinking [and] grapples with weighty issues in a concise and accessible way.

Ronny Bjones is Director of Cloud Identity & Privacy Services for Microsoft Engineering (Cloud & Enterprise). Ronny kicked of the design and development of Azure Active Directory B2C. Ronny is responsible for developing the concepts, prototyping, incubation and bringing the service into production. Ronny holds several patents in the field of identity and privacy. Read more
- Ronny joined Microsoft in 2002 to become the EMEA security lead. He has 30+ years of experience in ICT, 25+ of those in security.
- Ronny published QuEST together with several industry specialists in the subject of electronic signatures. The book is a comprehensive guide on how to implement Electronic Signatures solutions and can be downloaded from microsoft.com.
- Ronny also co-authored “Best Practice for Applications using the electronic Identity Card”.
- Ronny is a board member of EEMA, an organisation providing guidance on e-Business.
- Ronny is also member of the ISSE program committee. Ronny represents Microsoft in the executive board of Trust in Digital life.
- Ronny Bjones was one of the four founders of Utimaco Belgium, where he worked for ten years as R&D director. Before Utimaco, Ronny worked for a Belgian EFT specialist called Prodata and one of the first firms to specialize in cryptography in Europe called Cryptech.

2014 Andrea Servida
DG CONNECT, European Commission : Belgium
Andrea played a key role in the adoption of the eIDAS regulation, which will enable secure and seamless electronic interactions between businesses, citizens and public authorities. He has spent over 20 years working at the European Commission and is currently the Head of the Task Force ‘Legislation Team (eIDAS)’. Before this he was the Deputy Head of the Unit ‘Internet; Network and Information Security’ in DG INFSO and worked in the EC’s ICT research programmes dealing with safety critical systems, software engineering, database technology, privacy enhancing technologies, biometrics, dependability and cybersecurity.
2013 Reinhard Posch
Austrian Federal Government
Reinhard is Chief Information Officer for the Austrian Federal Government and operates and manages the platform Digital Austria. He is also Scientific Director of the Centre for Secure Information Technology (A-SIT). He was Chairman of the Board at ENISA from 2007 to 2011, and in 2010 joined Vice Presidents of the EC, Neelie Kroes and Maroš Šefčovič as a member of the Council of Practices in the areas of ICT security, giving them professional advice. In 2011 he became a member of the Steering Board for the European Cloud Partnership and received the Grand Decoration of Honour in Silver for Services to the Republic of Austria.
2012 Kim Cameron
At Zoomit Kim helped introduce metadirectory, and as Microsoft’s Chief Architect, he evolved the Seven Laws of Identity, which had an enormous galvanising impact on the global identity-related industry as well as Microsoft’s Active Directory and now the Azure cloud system. As a major contributor at EEMA events, he mesmerises audiences with the clarity and penetration of his insights. Whilst dominating the relentless identity discussions and debates that have raged over the last ten years, Kim Cameron’s profound and powerful insights into all things related to identity and security continue to wow audiences at EEMA events every time he speaks. We could think of no better recipient of our first Lifetime Achievement Award.
2012 Roger Dean
As founder member and executive director for 28 years, Roger led EEMA successfully through several significant changes in step with the evolving world that came to be dominated by the Internet. He has been at the forefront of IT security and identity management for his entire career, and even introduced the first commercial email system to the UK. Everyone who has had anything to do with EEMA over the last 25 years knows Roger Dean and the exceptional Lifetime Award is but a small recognition of the respect and gratitude we all have for his boundless enthusiasm, energy and unwavering dedication that has contributed to making EEMA what it is today. He truly embodies the spirit and the values that EEMA has stood for this quarter century.
