Conference Organisers

The goal of this event is to take a step back and look at what is happening around us. The number of hacked systems is constantly growing. Opening a simple mail can already lead to major compromises of your systems, classic anti-virus solutions seem to be unable to detect a large number of threats, expensive firewalls and intrusion detection systems seem to be missing a lot of dangerous events. However, connection to the Internet is essential for business. So, how can an organisation continue to function in such an environment? Or do we need another, safer net?
Paul De Vroede is security officer of the Flemish Government and sees the threats growing everyday. Paul will present his pragmatic vision as the basis for the debate.
Marnix Dekker previously worked for ENISA and has recently joined the EC’s CISO office. Marnix will also share his views.
